Length and Area Length and AreaThe length and area information about entered data can be accessed by using the Length/Area Info command from the Utility Menu. by pressing the Length/Area button on the Utility Toolbar or by using the keyboard shortcut, I, in Edit Mode. It displays the length, slope length, horizontal and slope area. When a line is highlighted and the command is selected, the Length and Area window displays.
The Line Length is displayed in both Feet and Yards. Areas are displayed as square feet and acres. Metric jobs displays meters and hectares.
Below are a list of display rules for various line types.
Slope Area is automatically displayed for closed lines in the Data Lines surface.
All closed lines, which are not Data Lines, automatically display the Line Length and Horizontal Area only.
All open lines displays only the Line Length.
Multiple selected lines (open or closed) display only the total Line Length.
