Video Links: Entering Spiral Curves
The Horizontal Cogo Editor is used to enter the horizontal geometry There are 4 types of horizontal cogo entries. Straight, Curve, Spiral, and Compound Spiral. Entered values display in black. Interpolated values display in red.
Station Start |
The station number at the beginning of the current spiral segment. |
Northing |
The northing coordinate of the beginning of the current spiral segment. |
Easting |
The easting coordinate of the beginning of the current spiral segment. |
Spiral Length |
Length of the current spiral segment. |
Delta (d m s L/R) |
Delta (change of direction) of the current main curve segment in degrees minutes and seconds. |
Radius |
Radius of the current main curve segment. |
Degree |
Degree of curvature of the current main curve segment. |
Station End |
The station number of the end of the current curve segment. |
Northing |
The northing coordinate of the end of the current curve segment. |
Easting |
The easting coordinate of the end of the current curve segment. |
Curvature |
Controls the spiral's curvature properties. Spirals are increasing entering a curve and decreasing exiting a curve. |
Bearing |
The bearing (direction) of the segment entering the spiral. |
