Zoom controls the magnification of the plan view overlay. Below is a description of how the zoom function works in conjunction with altering the planview scale.
Spacebar
|
Zooms In or Out over cursor location or selected point. |
Page Up |
Increase the plan view overlay magnification.
|
Page Down |
Decrease the plan view overlay magnification. |
The Spacebar acts as a toggle between the original and modified overlay magnification. Each time the spacebar is pressed, it zooms in or out. The magnification is modified by using the Page Up and Page Down keys. Page Up increases the magnification and Page Down decreases the magnification.
Area Zoom
|
Area Zoom defines the desired view by dragging a box around the information desired. Press the Left Mouse button once then drag the rubber-band box either to the upper right or lower left to define the zoom area. Press the Left button again to then zoom in to that area.
|
A good alternative to using the keyboard is a wheel mouse. The center wheel on the wheel mouse acts as the Page Up and Page Down keys when rolled up or down respectively.
The Home Button on the utility toolbar or the Home key on the keyboard centers the overlay and restores the original planview scale.
