1. What file types are accepted?
a. Reveal works with .las, .laz, and .e57 point cloud file types.
2. How do I import files from Access?
a. You can import your point cloud files direct from Agtek Access by selecting the Access logo in the New/Open Files step.
3. Am I limited to UAV captured/processed point clouds?
a. No. Reveal will work on .las, .laz, or .e57 file types regardless of the capture hardware.
4. Do I have to have an RTK UAV?
a. We recommend the use of an RTK UAV to capture and process a relative accurate data set. It is not required.
5. What is RTK?
a. RTK stands for Real Time Kinematic positioning. This enhances the precision of position data derived by satellite systems.
6. How many ground control points are required for Localization?
a. Reveal requires the use of two control points minimum. One will be used to “anchor” the point cloud and the second will be used to rotate to align with your control points.
7. What is my EPSG?
a. An interactive map can be found HERE. Simply search for your project address in the search bar. The EPSG Geodetic Parameter Dataset is a public registry of geodetic datums, special reference systems, ellipsoids, coordinate transformations and related units of measurement.
8. Can I rename my files?
a. Yes! Right click on the file in the Existing Point Cloud list and select Rename.
9. What files are accepted for Registration?
a. Reveal accepts .adf and .csv files. The .adf file must contain survey data, if not a dialog box will pop up informing you if there is no info found. Your .csv file must be formatted as PNEZ (Point#, Northing, Easting, Elevation). No column labels in the top row, just point data.
10. What is Registration?
a. Registration is the process of adjusting the vertical position of your point cloud data to a known reference surface elevation.
11. What do the colors mean in the Registration area?
a. The colors shown in the mesh represent the vertical gap between the reference surface and the current point cloud. The color band range is as follows:
Yellow: On Grade
Blue: Below Grade
Red: Above Grade
12. Can I export into Access?
a. Yes! Select the Access icon in the “To Program/Module” list.
13. How do I control what is included in the export?
a. Data shown (set to visible) at the time of Export will be included in the file. Background map will not be included.
b. You can select the Point Cloud and Orthomosaic to be included.
14. What format is required for ground control files?
a. Reveal accepts many ground control files, they include:
i. ADF – Agtek output
ii. 3DR – 3D Reconstruction
iii. AGI – Agisoft output
iv. DM - Datumate
v. XYZ – General .csv file
vi. PIX – Pix4D output
15. What are the machine requirements for Classification?
a. Our classification engine is not limited to your hardware. We do provide recommended hardware details for all Agtek products. Info can be found here regarding REVEAL: https://www.agtek.com/systemreq.html
16. Can I rename the classes?
a. The list of classes cannot be renamed at this time.
17. Are the classification labels included in the export data?
