The Break Line command breaks a selected line at the selected point leaving one half of the line selected for easy deletion. The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl-X. To use this command, follow the steps outlined below.
Select the point on the line to break it at by pressing the Left mouse button over that point.
Select the Break Line command or use the keyboard shortcut Crtl-X.
Select the segment to delete and press the Delete key on the keyboard.

If there is no point on the line, the F6 key can be used to insert a point on a line. |

The F5 key breaks the line, inserts an interpolated elevation at that point and snaps to the point for data entry. |
