The Bridge Gap (Join) command connects lines whose end points are at the same elevation and within the Bridge Gap distance. If lines selected to join will not do so, verify that the end points are at identical elevation. If they are the same, select Bridge Gap Distance from the Options menu and verify that the value (specified in feet) is larger that the space between the end points. The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl-J.
