The Fillet Line command in Edit Mode is used to add an arc where two surfaces meet, forming a rounded corner. The fillet is a entered with a user-defined radius added between adjoining line segments. The fillet command also available in Entry mode, but is accessed with the R key on the keyboard. Below are directions on adding fillets in both Edit and Entry modes.
Adding a Fillet in Edit Mode In Edit Mode, the Fillet Line command is used to add a fillet to the corner of two joined line segments. The corner must be on a joined, or continuous line segment for the command to function. The Keyboard shortcut is Ctrl-F. |

Select the corner along the line segment where the fillet will be with the Left Mouse button. |

Select the Fillet Tool button from the Utility Toolbar. The Edit Fillet Radius window displays. |

Change the radius as needed and press the OK button to add the fillet. |

Two annotate points are added. One at the previous corner location and one representing the center of the radius. Each point is labeled "Arc Info". |
Adding a Fillet in Entry Mode In Entry Mode, the fillet command is accessed via the R Key on the keyboard. There must be at least two points entered before the fillet command will work. |

Enter the first point using the Left Mouse button. |

Draw a line and enter another point. |
|
|
|
Type R followed by a radius value and move the cross hair to preview the fillet. Any subsequent fillet by pressing the R key will assume the previously used radius value until another R-value is entered. |

Press the Left button again to enter the next part of the line and apply the fillet. |
