Windows 2000 and XP use a version of TabletWorks to control the digitizer. Disabling the digitizer driver using Windows 2000 and XP is similar to that of Windows 98 and ME. To disable the driver for the digitizer, follow the steps listed below.
Stopping the Driver
Press the Windows Start Button and left-click on Control Panel.
Double-click on the TabletWorks Icon.
In the window on the right, select the TabletWorks Icon.
Under Configuration, check the box next to Disable Serial Driver. Press OK. A window displays asking you to restart your computer.
If there are any open files or programs, press No so you can save and close and programs or files. If not, press Yes to restart the computer.
Starting the Driver
Press the Start Button and select Control Panel.
Double-click on the TabletWorks Icon to show the TabletWorks Control Panel.
In the window on the right, select the TabletWorks Icon.
Under the Configuration tab, uncheck the box next to Disable Serial Driver. Press OK. A window displays asking you to restart your computer.
If there are any open files or programs, press No so you can save and close and programs or files. If not, press Yes to restart the computer.
