Hide, Hide All But, and Show All

Sometimes the amount of data displayed makes it difficult to identify the desired layers. Below is a list of commands that allow to modify the visible data on the screen. These commands are located under the View Menu.

Hide

This command removes the selected data from screen. The Keyboard shortcut is Alt-H.

 

Hide All But

This command hides all the data except the currently selected data.

 

Show All

The reverse of Hide is the Show All command. It displays all hidden data.

 

Plus Marks and Delete Line

There are a couple more commands located under the Right Mouse Menu useful in the editing process.

Plus Marks

This command toggles on the display of plus marks over points making it easier to see them. Plus Marks are automatically toggled off as soon as you zoom in or out.

 

Delete Line

This command removes the selected data from the screen permanently. Delete is activated by pressing the Delete key or through the View menu.

 

Undo and Redo

Earthwork 4D supports eight levels of undo for those occasional mistakes that you wish you could start over. The Undo command is activated by pressing Ctrl-Z or through the Edit menu. The Redo command is usually used when Undo was used one too many times. It also supports eight levels and is activated by pressing Ctrl-Y or through the Edit menu.
